Happy Friday, dear reader. I hope you're gearing up for a great weekend, full of sleeping in, waffles, and, last but not least, writing some pages!
Speaking of writing, this week's #FridayFinds showcases some exciting things my clients are doing...
First things first, Happy Pub Date, Beth Aldrich!
The author of Real Moms Love to Eat (Penguin/NAL, 2012) branches into suspense thriller territory with PINK SLIPS (out today in e-book and paperback formats). In this new novel, Betsy Ryan must deal with: a creepy stalker, a marriage in peril, and ferrying her young sons to and from school... all while eight months pregnant.
If you're the sort who loves a chilling poolside read (think Paula Hawkins or Gillian Flynn with a touch of spirituality), this is a must for your tote bag. Learn more and purchase the book here: http://www.pinkslipsnovel.com/.
Watch the Book Trailer for The Sheriff's Catch by James Vella-Bardon
It seems I've spent a lot of time with thriller writers lately. This one doesn't deal with suburban intrigue, but rather with a struggle of life-and-death proportions in sixteenth-century Europe.
When sharpshooter and army deserter Abel de Santiago is press-ganged into the Spanish Armada, he never expects to wash ashore in Connacht Ireland. Once there, Spanish and English forces lead to "a desperate chase across a strange and stunning land, where danger lurks at every turn."
THE SHERIFF'S CATCH, which is the first installment of The Sassana Stone quintet, is scheduled for publication by Unbound in fall 2017. An active member of the Historical Novel Society in Sydney, Australia, Vella-Bardon has worked hard on this novel for many years and is thrilled to find representation in the Penguin Random House-affiliated Unbound.
